Strongman of former Governor Martin Elechi government and former PDP Youth leader in Ebonyi state Comrade Chinedu Ogah has indicated interest to join the race for the Ezza South/ Ikwo House of Reps position.
Ogah who is currently the National Coordinator, Buhari Osibanjo Initiative for Demonstrating Change, also announce that he will be contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The official declaration came barely one week after Okada riders numbering over 2000 staged a solidarity rally for him, urging him to make himself available for the race.
The Okada riders promised to offer an assistance of conveying the constituents for voters registration across the 31 Wards of the constituency.
Ogah who is the former National President of Ebonyi Youth Assembly made the declaration on Wednesday when he visited elders and stakeholders of Ohatekwe in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state.
The declaration laid to rest speculations that the youth leader would slog it out with the incumbent, Laz Ogbee, who has already been endorsed by Governor Dave Umahi for a second tenure.
Ogah explained that equity and fairness demands that having consistently occupied the position for over a decade now, it was the turn of Ikwo people to produce the next representative.
He promised to offer qualitative leadership and bring development politics to the grassroot.
The spokesman of the group, Chief Clement Anyigor said the council has resolved to work for the success of the youth leader in view of his tremendous achievement and contributions to the empowerment of youths not only in the community but the state and beyond.
