Pro-Buhari group, Initiative for Demonstrating Change in Nigeria (IDC), yesterday said that the group in its bid to alleviate the suffering of widows in the state,has conatructed about 172 3 bedroom bungarlow houses for the widows in the 13 council areas of the state.
The National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Chinedu Ogah who disclosed this in Onueke, Ezza South local government area of Ebonyi state during a meeting with All Progressives Congress APC, Ward Executives of the local government ahead of 2019 general election noted that the widows were carefully drawn following their unfortunate condition.
Comrade Ogah, who recently announced his intention to contest the Ezza South/Ikwo Federal constityency in the Houee of Representative noted that apart from the construction of thw bungelow houses, the group have sank boreholes, construscted and renovated delapidated school buildings, sowed thousands of school uniform for school children in the different communities among others.
Comrade Oga who is the Founder and Chief Executive of Chiboy foundation stated that the geature was inline with President Buhari care and concern for the less priviadged in the country adding that the group has continued to step down the President gestures down to the grassroot.
He regretted that many politicians during electioneering campaign make promises to the electorate but immediately they secure their mandate, they abandon the people and resort to acquisition of wealth and urge them to think home first rather than the pleasures of the cities.
Comrade Oga who announced scholarships for three undergraduate of the areas stated that the act of giving has been his lifestyle since childhood.
He explained that he had assisted 38 youths from th local government to secure jobs in different agencies and parastatals as a way of contributing his quota to the reduction of unemployment and poverty in the area.
While commending President Buhari leadership qualities and developmental strides encouraged the people to continue supporting the president and ensure they massively voted for him in 2019 general election.
He said that APC as a party, is the party to beat come 2019 and called on the party executives to work assiduously for the victory of APC at all levels in the 2019 elections.
In his remarks, a chieftain of the party and former commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Sylvester Nwambe described Ogah as a philanthropist who had used his wealth to better the lots of the down trodden and wished him success in his quest to represent the people of Ezza South/Ikwo federal constituency in the National Assembly in 2019.
