Just two days short of two years since the death of actress, Moji Olaiya in Canada, Nollywood stars have been thrown into mourning once more following the death of popular Yoruba actress, Aisha Abimbola.
According to reports, many of which are still speculative at this time, the actress died in a Canadian hospital with the cause of death tied to a type of cancer which she has been battling silently for a while.
Fellow actress, Bisola Badmus, was the first to break the news via her Instagram account on Wednesday morning before others like Odunlade Adekola, Ronke Odusanya and Biodun Okeowo further confirmed it as they expressed shock over the painful loss.
Having become popular for her role in the movie, Omoge Campus by Bola Igida and as well for her roles in TV series such as Papa Ajasco and Company and Super Story, Bisola Badmus wrote: “Gone so soon RIP omoge campus” while sharing a photo of the 46-year-old who died on Tuesday in Canada like Moji Olaiya.
Before hitting limelight, Abimbola, known for her impressive acting and simple lifestyle, featured in Eje Adegbenro which was produced by Jide Kosoko and a series known as Awerijaiye.
In his own tribute, actor, Yomi Fabiyi, shared a picture of the late actress along with tears emojis and the caption: “Unquestionable God.”
On his own, Odunlade Adekola posted a picture of the actress on Instagram with the words: Omg so sad” while Ronke Odusanya wrote: “STILL IN SHOCK ……RIP @omogecampus1.”
Also, for her own tribute, fellow actress, Biodun Okeowo also known as Omo Butty, wrote: “May God forgive all your sins Aunty Aisha. #NoMoreOmogeCampus#tearsuncontrolable#GodPleasehaveCompasion🙏#LetTHISstop#”
