In a bid to provide solutions to the myriad of challenges facing the youths, a council chairman in Enugu state, UgoFerdinand Ukwueze, has appointed a 22 member committee to understudy and recommend ways of strategising on the development and welfare of Youths in Igbo Eze South Council area.

Ukwueze who is the Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, released the appointment in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen.
He said that the move is in line with his commitment to forster a brighter future for the youths as reflected in his manifesto and progress agenda mantra which is in line with the Tomorrow is Here philosophy of the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah.

The 22 member committee has a two-time member of Enugu State House of Assembly member, Rt. Hon. Ero Ugwueze as it’s chairman while Hon. Emeka Ugwuoke is to serve as its secretary.
Other members of the committee are Dr Chidi Onah, Barr.Ferdinand Ugwuarua, Prince Ekene Eze, Uzodima Sampson Eze, Collins Chekwube Ezeugwu, Hon Omeje Celestine Chinedu, Miss Nwanneka Perpetual Eze, Okike Christopher Chidiebere, among others.
He tasked the committee to finetune ways of empowering the youths on education, capacity building, skill acquisition and value re-orientation.
The council Chairman gave them a four week time frame to submit their interim report.
Ukwueze who is also the Vice Chairman of ALGON in Enugu state said, “as a government,We recognise our unique position to inspire, protect our youths by promoting platforms that address their needs, amplify their voices and advance their engagement with the emerging world environment.
“Our Progress agenda mantra is contingent upon the active inclusion of youths in our programmes as they are the drivers of sustainable development,”.
