It is crystal clear that the failed, frustrated and greedy Nsukka politicians led by a former Minister and his co-travellers, who covertly opened political and social media battles against Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi after the 2023 PDP governorship primaries that didn’t favour their preferred aspirant, Bar. Chijioke Edeoga, have lost the battles completely even before the elections.
Not even their hurried and ill- conceived defection to the Labour Party, has given them peace of mind and assurance of any electoral victory in 2023.
Having lost the battles in all fronts against Governor Ugwuanyi, Mr. Peter Mbah and the PDP in Enugu State ahead of 2023 elections, they have frustratedly resorted to name calling, mudslinging, rehashing, recycling and regurgitating of meaningless, nonsensical, unsubstantiated and malicious articles against Governor Ugwuanyi on social media platforms as if they are new.
Just as they have laboured in vain in Labour Party with their liabilities as rejected, embattled and estranged PDP members before the PDP primaries, they have also belaboured fruitlessly on social media platforms to run down Governor Ugwuanyi, Mr. Peter Mbah and PDP before the public.
That is why the more they peddle their blatant lies and falsehoods against them, the more quality people with electoral values are harvested into the PDP fold to their anger and disappointment.
That is why they hid under the pen name of Dr. Nathan Ezugwu, to write an article titled “2023: BETWEEN PETER MBA, GBURUGBURU AND OYEDEPO THEORY OF MADNESS IN ENUGU”
In the illogical and fallacious article, the fake writer falsely tried to pre-empt that 2023 elections in Enugu will be a repeat of what happened in Oyo state in 2019 elections.
Where one Adelabu, the APC governorship candidate in 2019 who was picked by the then Governor of the state and APC Senatorial candidate, Abiola Ajimobi were both voted against in the ecandidate
While Adelabu lost the governorship election to Seyi Makinde of the PDP, Ajimobi also lost his senatorial bid to another PDP candidate.
What a doomed prophecy and false prediction by a fake writer with the poor knowledge of political history and development of Oyo and Enugu states to be comparing the two without substantiated facts.
Why APC lost Oyo state in 2019 general elections was not because of Ajimobi’s choice of Adelabu as APC governorship candidate, but because of the crisis in the party and some of Ajimobi’s anti-people’s policies and his fight with the revered traditional institutions in the state. Ajimobi in his obdurate posturing opened many flanks for political battles that portrayed him and his party in a badlight before the people of the state. APC’s loss of Oyo in 2019 has nothing to do with the choice of Adelabu as erroneously presented by the fake writer, Dr. Nathan Ezugwu and cannot be likened to it.
The pre 2019 Oyo election scenario is quite different and directly opposite of Governor Ugwuanyi’s peaceful and people-oriented disposition to governance that has endeared him, his government and party to the heart of the majority of Ndi Enugu.
The seamless and smooth conduct of the Enugu PDP primaries especially the governorship seat is a clear testament of Governor Ugwuanyi’s political sagacity and depth, unity, strength, and total acceptance of PDP in the state as the performing and dominant party to beat.
Unlike in Enugu Labour Party, where there are crisis of confidence, legal cum moral encumbrances over the forceful substitutions of initial ticket holders with some embattled defectors after financial gratifications that are causing ripples in the party, PDP’s pre and post primary atmosphere had remained hitch-free, rancour-free, peaceful and united.
There is no crisis in Enugu PDP and there is no sour relationship between Ugwuanyi’s government and the people of the state to warrant the voting out of PDP in the state in 2023 elections. It is an axiomatic fact that PDP remains the party to beat in Enugu in 2023.
Besides Governor Ugwuanyi’s government has performed extremely well in the face of obvious and daunting economic cum financial challenges that Ndi Enugu are highly appreciative of him and are ready to vote in his party for continuity in government in 2023.
